There is 1 medium sized room to rent. The room gets good late morning and afternoon sun and will come unfurnished. Rent is $220 a week and bond is $800.

There are also 2 smaller rooms that come as 1 combo. This could suit someone who would like a bedroom and a separate work space. Rent is $240 a week and bond is $1000.

I am also open to just living with one other person and myself, in which case rent and bond will be negotiable. But could be $350 rent per week each and $1400 bond.

The lease is currently periodic, so while the new person must sign onto the lease, you will not be locked into a fixed-term lease. The longest-serving leaseholder has been here for 14 years. In the past we have had an internal agreement that outgoing tenant must give 28 days notice, and after that remaining tenants are liable for their portion of the rent until a new tenant signs on.

There is potential for creating a wonderful garden. We do the lawns, gardening and the collective cleaning for this to be a home. Our ideal housemate appreciates these things and is happy to contribute. We both enjoy a peaceful home to relax and re-energize.

The house has everything we need, but there is room for other people's stuff in the common areas. The garage has plenty of potential as a workshop space and communal creative space. There is plenty of room for extra storage or to park a bike. With the Island Bay shops just up the road and the beach a stone's throw away this is a great spot.
