Looking to rent a room, from mid-December, as I’m relocating and have bought land in Central Hawkes Bay, which I will be building on next year. I seek a room ‘furnished preferably’ in a happy home, for up to 6 months, approx. I’m looking for a room from around Jan until the end of Semester 1 (roughly seven months), with the possibility of staying a little longer until late August for my graduation ceremony. Because I won’t be in Dunedin for a full year, a fixed 12-month lease doesn’t really suit my situation. I recently found out I’m not eligible for UniFlats for just one semester, and I’d prefer not to go with a boarding house since many of them don’t feel very safe. So I’m hoping to find a clean, calm, and comfortable place with flatmates who are respectful and easy to get along with. A flexible lease or a short-term arrangement would be ideal. I’m reliable with rent, tidy, and good with communication, so I’ll be a low-stress flatmate for the time I stay. Happy to chat more or come for a viewing if it sounds like a good fit.
