About the flat
Our bungalow is situated down a private right of way with secure fencing and gates that are locked at night. The house is kept clean and orderly by sharing the cleaning duties week to week.
Flatmate must be comfortable, compassionate and tolerant of living with a large resident rescue dog who is very much part of the household and a small rescue puppy we often have, as the home owner fosters for local dog rescues from time to time. If having a dog and a small puppy and all that comes with them is not for you, this living arrangement will not suit you, as this is a home for animal lovers and this requires patience at times. No other pets allowed sorry.
I am seeking a down to earth female professional, mid 20’s and above, who is working full time and not at home during the day studying, as I work from home in a confidential sector. A sense of humour is valued! We live in a centrally located suburb in Whangarei and have supermarkets and shops in either direction.
Cost includes all amenities with reasonable use of the power. Your own food is additional and we share buying toilet paper and cleaning products as needed.
No pets or smokers.
About the room
Fully furnished, peaceful bedroom available for a female flatmate, living with the female home owner and one other female flatmate. Existing large furniture must stay in the room, however smaller items can all easily be removed. The room has its own TV.
Preferred flatmate
An active, working female with an independent lifestyle. We’re a chatty household when we cross paths, but we also really value our own space and downtime.
An animal lover is essential - Boston is a much loved part of our home and we also foster a puppy from time to time. We’re looking for someone who is happy to interact with and love them as part of daily life.
We’re early to bed, with lights out around 9.00pm, as we’re early risers. A quiet home in the evenings is important to us, so this wouldn’t suit someone who is up late or active around the house at night.

Meet the flatmates
I am an active, independent homeowner - I love the gym and walking my dog. Our other flatmate is a lawyer.
Myself and the other flatmate like to live independently doing our own thing, but equally we enjoy a good chat when we cross paths, or if we find something to watch on TV together. We also do things socially together occasionally, however we are not drinkers or partiers.
The household is early to bed with everyone usually going to their own bedrooms or to the lounge to relax at night. I am early to rise as I leave for the gym, therefore this would not work for night owls as consideration of others and sleep is important to us and the four legged occupants.
