About the flat
This is a brand new house with excellent thermal insulation, double glazed windows, ducted heat pump, plush carpets, modern bathroom and kitchen, walk-in pantry, separate laundry room, washing line, and off-street parking. The curtains are all black-out so it's great if you want to sleep in, and there's even acoustic insulation in the bedroom walls!
The house is set back from the street, so it's very private and quiet. The garden is still under development, as that's my hobby. We will have fruit trees and a rockery. The wifi is fibre-connected and supports netflix, youtube, streaming TVNZ, etc with ease.
About the room
The room is 3.0m x 3.1m and has a large window with fully opening and secure ventilation opening options. The curtains are full black-out, so you can sleep in after sunrise if you like (really helpful in summer!). The carpet is extra thick pile, so feels much nicer than normal.
The room is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, bedside lamps, power sockets on both sides of the bed, and full utilisation cupboards (not the typical kiwi cupboards that occupy space but have limited storage facilities).
Preferred flatmate
Ideal flatmate is kind, respectful, friendly, clean, tidy, non-smoking, light drinking or non-drinking, LGBTQ+-friendly, and pays in in full, on time, every time. Open to singles or couples. We are a culturally diverse house with Thailand, South Africa, and Japan represented here already, and would be keen to continue the diversity theme.
We're open to cooking combined dinners occasionally, and enjoy sharing our home with friends occasionally for dinner, movies, games, etc., but no wild parties.
