About the flat
Security bond is required upon moving in. Two weeks notice when leaving.
Airy, light filled, quiet, clean apartment in secure building with off street parking.
The kitchen and lounge area are open plan concept and while it is not large, there is a balcony which also provides a built in laundry drying rack. Furnishings are humble.
2 bedroom apartment with one bathroom. The shower is a good size with great water pressure, a washing machine is provided.
Off-street parking is available. Bus stop is across the road, there are open green spaces and just down the road a short way is the local college. Shops are within walking distance and a Korean bread shop directly across the road. Close to AUT.
It is peaceful and relaxing. It would suit someone or a couple who respect privacy, are clean, have a sense of humour, are sober (strictly no alcohol, parties and we need to discuss visitors BEFORE they happen, I have PTSD so it is essential) and absolutely drama free.
Smoking on the balcony is fine but definitely NO hard drugs. I am prescribed medical cannabis so you must be okay with that.
Please note that If a couple moves in, rent will be increased to $360 negotiable with fair use clause.
About the room
The bedroom available has a queen-sized bed, is large and light-filled. It has a secure lock window on the 3rd floor, and its own wall-mounted heater. The bedroom window overlooks our off-street parking.
Preferred flatmate
Tidy, cleans up after self in kitchen and bathroom, keeps room orderly (doesn't hoard) , quiet, working or studying. Looking for a reliable long-term boarder. No hard drugs, smoking ok but out on the balcony, not in the apartment.

I’m a 52 year old male. I have adult children who also live on the shore. I’m quiet, I love my privacy, and I retired due to a workplace injury. I enjoy travelling within NZ, spending time with my kids when possible, and have a good sense of humour. I’m relaxed, enjoy the peace and like a low-maintenance environment.
