2-story 1990s townhouse on Armagh st in Central Christchurch. Downstairs there is a large open plan living room and kitchen area (we have a TV, couch, fridge, microwave, dishwasher), toilet, and single car garage with storage area at the back (washing machine included). There is space for one car in the garage and one car outside the garage. Outside there is a decent size courtyard and garden shed. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, two of which are used by the existing tenant, and one room available. There is also one main shared bathroom upstairs with shower/bath and a toilet.

The house is in a great location, within walking distance to many amenities in the central city. This includes the Margaret Mahy playground, Turanga library, town hall, Te Pae convention centre, multiple gyms, the new stadium, Hagley park, and all of the central city shops and entertainment amenities like Entx.

Current tenant is a friendly nerdy guy who likes to watch movies, play video games, keep fit through hiking, running and going to the gym, and going for coffee.

Rent is $250 + $30 power & internet = $280/wk

About the room

The room is a decent size at 3.2m by 3.7m. Plenty of room for a queen bed and a desk. It has a large west facing sunny window on one wall. It also has a large 1.5m by 1.2m closet. There will also be a large storage space available at the back of the garage for the new tenant. Current tenant is willing to negotiate sharing the garage parking space if the new tenant has need for it. If you want it there will be a large corner style desk in the room for use.

Preferred flatmate

Looking for a student or young professional in their 20s or 30s. Ideally someone who is chill, friendly, quiet, and happy to help with cleaning. I'm looking for someone who is happy to stay for at least six months, and longer than that is great. Bonus if you are into film/TV/gaming but not essential. This flat would suit someone who works in the central city very well. You will need to have proof of steady income to apply. No smokers, pets or couples sorry.
