About the flat
I've already described the type of property this is; what Katikati township offers; what's nearby; who I am in my Introduction. In addition, if I was a travelling person, which I have been, mine is a great place to be because of the property's hidden position, spacious living and the view. I've travelled quite a lot and have not quite seen a place with this scenery. It's outstanding! I've lived at my place for 11 years and the consistency of comments from numerous people will confirm what I have written.
About the room
The room hosts a firm queen sized bed with cotton sheets and duvet. Two side tables are placed on either side of bed with lamps. A double built in wardrobe. with shelving exists. The room has french doors opening onto the deck. The deck has both a sitting area plus a swinging couch and throw for colder days. Access to bathroom and separate toilet are across the hallway, five steps.

I live in the Kaimai Forest Park, Katikati, Bay of Plenty with my dog Ralf. Our property is a life-style block of 1.76 hectares, surrounded by native bush and abundant bird-life. This property commands a 72 km view. Spectacular! It is also fully gated; and a 12 minute car-ride from Katikati township / supermarket.
Katikati is a small country town 40 minutes Northwest of Tauranga - with a population of about 4,750. It has most amenities such as a chemist, library, food shops, two supermarkets, liquor shops, bank, ATMs, op shops, hardware shop, swimming pool and is very close to great beaches, walking and biking tracks just down the road.
The house itself is 270m2 with a wing that contains the room being offered for rent. Yes, with its own bathroom and toilet. French doors open onto the covered deck. The native bush, bird life and sea channel with working ships add to the wide and horizontal views contributing greatly to the harmony and serenity of this special place. It's a mesmerising view, ships in the channel, especially at night. I've attached a YouTube link to the entire property so you can gain a perspective of what the property is and how the rental room on offer is cradled within a nature environment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoNyBWOvTtg The room and bathroom for rent feature between 1.32 to 1.36 seconds into the video.
I am looking for a person or couple to share for up to six months. If you consider yourself to be kind, considerate of others, clean, reliable, easy to be around, like a laugh, listen to interesting music and house-trained, this could be a place for you. The $300 weekly price is for one person and includes: electricity, water and internet. I am happy to negotiate a couple's rate. Food and cleaning products are at your expense.
Me: I'm an interesting old girl who has recently become a widow. As a result, I am re-defining my life. I am kind, like to think I am wise and live quietly and deeply. I enjoy my life immensely: the space, the undulation of nature, my friends, gardening, reading, being physically fit and being creative. I am a big foodie and good at a glass of wine, too. I'm well educated and read a lot. I love music, my dog, my daughter, Kermit the frog (just kidding), my son-in-law and so much more. I'm heading back to my land in Fiji sometime this year, hence the time-limit on the tenancy but the six month timeline may shift out.
Ralf is my dog of 14.5 years which I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. Ralf's father was called Alf. My husband suggested we call her Ralf because she was used to hearing her father's name Alf and therefore she would come more readily. Yeah right! Ralf is a very loyal and faithful companion, docile and more often than not, likes being a bit free range. Very sociable, loves her Mum and people.
