Hey! I’m Lakshan, 23, and I’ll be starting as a student at UNITEC (Mount Albert). Alongside studying, I work as a freelancer in my free time and I’m also looking for a part-time job, so I’ll usually be out during the day — lectures, work, coffee runs, and checking out interesting spots around the city. At home, I’m pretty easygoing. I’m quiet and relaxed when I’m working or studying, but I also enjoy having a chat, sharing a coffee or a meal, and getting along with the people I live with.
Friends would describe me as friendly, someone who makes people laugh, and always keen to travel or explore new places. I really value a clean and tidy home and believe good communication and mutual respect are what make a house feel like home. I’m happy to do my part to keep the place comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. When it comes to socialising, it really depends on the vibe - we all know our priorities. I’m always down for occasional chill hangouts or small get-togethers with flatmates or friends if that’s what everyone enjoys. I’m looking to move in from around the 5th of February, and I’d love to find a place with a positive, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere. If this sounds like a good match, feel free to reach out - I’d be happy to have a chat!
About me
I’m Lakshan, a 23-year-old student who’ll be moving to Auckland from Sri Lanka in early February. I’m looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay starting February 6th onwards I’ll be studying at Unitec (Mt Albert campus), so I’m ideally looking for a place around Mt Albert or nearby areas, or anywhere with good public transport access and within about a 15-minute drive to Unitec. What I’m looking for: A room in a shared flat or apartment or home stays Quiet, calm environment with a respectful vibe Around 2–3 flatmates (4 including me would be alright) Budget: around NZD 230 per week, including power, water, internet, and laundry facilities Easy access to public transport A bit of space in the house would be a bonus I’m open to short-term or long-term stays — 3 months, 6 months, or longer is totally fine for me, depending on how things go. About me: I’m a friendly, easygoing, and respectful person. I’m a non-smoker, but I don’t mind if others smoke. I get along well with both students and working professionals and value a clean, peaceful living environment. I’m social when needed but also appreciate personal space and quiet time. If you have a room available or know of a place that might suit, feel free to message me. Happy to share more details and have a chat! Thanks a lot 😊Preferred location
