Flat in PARNELL, Three Bedroom House, $200-$250/week

About the flat

The house is located in Parnell, 5 mins walk to buses and Parnell township which has some really lovely Cafes, Bars and restaurants, 15min walk to Newmarket.
It is down a long driveway so there is no traffic noise at night.

There is a garage but as this is where the clothesline is we don't park cars in there however there is another uncovered carpark available. We also have a boxing bag set up in the garage.


The house is a townhouse so connected on one side to another house. It is spilt over three levels, the middle level being the living areas, the bottom level is where your room is located. You pretty much have your OWN BATHROOM which has a bath, and shower over the bath, I say pretty much because it is also the laundry. It is a double room with a double wardrobe and nice bush views from your window. (see photos)

The lounge opens up onto a deck where we have a bbq and seating. We have converted the study/3rd bedroom into the games room, complete with surround sound system and recliner chairs with cup holders and an xbox 360.
There is no TV reception set up in the lounge or games room but there is a tv aerial plug in your room.

The house is about 10-15 years old I think but the Kitchen and bathrooms are newly renovated and the house is in great condition.

About the flatmates

Currently there are 3 people living here, Myself, my partner and our friend Morgan, Morgan is moving out in August. He is moving to Australia to be with his girlfriend.

We are pretty easy going people, as you will see by the cooking/cleaning arrangements. We are all into a very wide range of music from Hard house to Sting and almost everything in between. We have a record player which is connected up to speakers on the deck which is great for when you have people over.

We are not the owners of the house, the Landlord lives in Wellington and he is a really cool guy, very accommodating and pleasant.

What the flatmates do on a weeknight or weekend

Weekends, we sometimes will go out for a few drinks or to a gig but mostly we will have friends over, you are more than welcome to have your friends over as well of course.

Weeknights we will often have dinner and watch movies, we have a fatso account so we always have some movie to watch.

Cooking and food arrangements

Cooking is not rostered, lucky for us Te loves cooking and is very good at it so he cooks a lot. We generally cook for everyone but if you prefer to cook your own meals seperately that is fine.

Food shopping is currently done together and split evenly (except for personal items i.e. razors, facewash etc) so the food is free-for-all basis but this can be changed if you prefer to buy and keep your own.

Cleaning arrangements

As far as cleaning goes we are pretty relaxed but do expect that you clean up after yourself in the common areas (your room can be as messy as you like), we do not have any rosters for cleaning.

Additional comments

You will be able to have down time in your own space or mingle with us whenever you like as the bottom floor is pretty much all yours.

We think this flat would suit someone who is social and easy going, likes to have friends over, not too much of a neat freak as there are times when the dishes will be left overnight etc. Someone who is willingly to pull their weight and pays bills on time everytime. Expenses include Internet & phone, power and water.
