This house is totally awesome without being bias, has a great homely feel and everyone who visits comments on how comfortable they feel here which is really cool.

The entire interior is kitted out with some really plush fixtures including; designer wallpaper, polished floors, home insulation, high quality Cedar Venetians, hanging brushed chrome pendant lights and all paintwork is in A1 condition ensuring your new home will be super clean and comfortable. The room available is a good sized double with wardrobe, and can come fully furnished (if need be) with plenty of storage space available.

If you dont have a car, bus stops in both directions are located within 15 sec walk from front door. Onehunga town centre is a 2-minute drive and hosts Foodtown, Dressmart outlet stores galore with the Southern Motorway/Airport (12 min drive) arterial just down the hill (mini golf too!!).

The house is very handy to pretty much everything in directions either way. Auckland CBD is a 10min drive via Newmarket and about the same via Greenlane on ramps. St. Lukes shopping centre is about 15mins away and means you can also go via Balmoral or Mt. Eden also if the city is your destination.

Piha and the other beautiful west coast beaches (40 min drive) are an easy and scenic transit via Hillsborough. Plenty of off-street parking with security lighting and a super tough alarm system that calls my mobile if triggered! (this has never happened for real but is a great piece of mind!)

About the flatmates

First up, i brought this house approx. 7 years ago, its my first house and I love it! My home is my sanctuary so treat her nice and she will provide you the warmth of her shelter! My house isn�t really a girl but it sounds cool! My existing flatmate Anneleise is a full time student studying business and part time model. My names Karn and im a 29 y/o Self Employed full time DJ and part time model also. I work 5 days a week as a club DJ based throughout Auckland city and around New Zealand, its pretty busy and a lot of fun. Don't think because im a DJ that i have wild parties or loads of people back after a night out, its not me at all, i have been djing for over 13 years now so its not really like that for me anymore, and the whole DJ stereotype is exactly that, a stereotype. You will enjoy living here, its not rocket science, you can move into any scummy flat around this city or you can take yourself to the next level and live well in an awesome home environment.

What the flatmates do on a weeknight or weekend

Whatever, whenever, however. I goto the gym, kick it with my friends, ride my motorbike, goto the beach, all the usual. Annaleise, much the same.

Cooking and food arrangements

With food we just all do our thing, i go to the supermarket whenever i want to get things i enjoy and my flatmates are much the same. Im pretty lazy when it comes to cooking but enjoy nice meals when motivated, in all honesty, i just work and eat when im hungry so it can be a bit of a fend for oneself affair. In saying that, if you enjoy your cooking both of us are more than able often setting into a big cook up of chicken stir fry, fish etc. I really enjoy my vegetarian meals too so im open for anything ;-)

Cleaning arrangements

I like clean surroundings personally and work and function best in a tidy, clutter free environment so I would expect that you could live the same?. Your room will be your room so you can do what you like as long as your not damaging stuff. As i own and live in this place I do like to see it being treated with respect which is common sense anyways. I have been flatting since 17 and used to do residential cleaning so i know what Jif is, if we all set in and do some chores as need be and clean up after ourselves life will be way easier. Just general consideration and working as a team when need be works best. If something needs replacing or the house needs something we all use e.g washing powder, we get it and split it when need be.

We have a cleaner who comes in once a week also which takes the edge and hassle off the jobs that nobody is fond of, showers, bathrooms, vacuuming etc.

If your going to live with someone, you have to get along right. I like good people in my life so if you consider yourself a decent indivudual then you will have fun here and enjoy your new home.
