Fantastic location - you can cut down on both fossil fuel consumption and travel costs. E.g. walking times;- two mins to top of Cable Car and Botanic Gardens; three mins to Kelburn Campus; six mins to Kelburn Village; 7-10 mins down to The Terrace/Lambton Quay/Willis St/town. The house is just several doors along from the Cable Car end of Upland Rd (not as indicated by the flag on the map).
We lean left, green, and we recycle. You clean your own room, as well as one turn a week on dishes, and one turn a month cleaning one bathroom.
Common area cleaning and machine washable laundry done for you.
All rooms fully furnished with beds, desks, lamps, heaters, chairs, etc including bedding, linen and towels.
We all live pretty independently - bed-sitting room style. Friendly, helpful & relaxed. A mix of NZs and Internationals;- undergraduates and mature students, a chef, & 1 cat (no more pets sorry). Professionals, travellers, students and international students coming to NZ to learn English - all welcome.
Available short term per night negotiable while you are looking or making plans; or longer term rent plus share expenses (power, wireless internet, consumables etc).
Available from 29 July. Rent $180.00. Small - medium sized room, suitable for one person.
Flexibilty to move in to one room first and move to another as available.
Rooms can also be unfurnished if you prefer.
On street residents parking permit available from WCC for $115 PA or in three month sets for $30.00. That allows you to park in both resident and coupon zones without time limit. With student ID, you can get 30 Cable Car rides for $24 = 80 cents each. Valley/Eastbourne buses to/from Hutt Valley from Willis St or Lambton Quay at the bottom of the Cable Car.
Additional Sky TV decoder (Movies, Rialto, Sport etc) available in bedrooms (TV provided) for $25 monthly.
